At 10:30 on January 7th, 2018, a bus caught fire on the section of Lujun Road in the direction of Baise in the southwest of the Guangxi South-South Highway (G80) Silin toward Baise. After receiving the alarm, the Fire Squadron of Tiandong County, Baise City dispatched a fire extinguishing team to deal with it.

After the fire officers and soldiers arrived at the scene, the reconnaissance revealed that a bus carrying 44 passengers was driving to Silin and heading towards Baise at a high-speed on the section of Junjun. Fortunately, the driver and passengers were evacuated in time when they smelled scorched, without causing people to be trapped. At this time, the entire car had been swallowed by the fire, and the fire rolled from the door and window from time to time. Due to the overheating of the fire, the car body was severely roasted, and the fuel tank of the bus may explode at any time. On the side of the highway, many passengers are standing on the side of the road nervously watching this rare scene.

After it was determined that no one was trapped in the car, the squadron cadre immediately ordered: the alert team to alert the scene, and the fire extinguishing team issued two water guns aimed at the fire. After 10 minutes, the fire was brought under control. In order to prevent re-ignition and ensure foolproof, the fire extinguishing unit cooled the fuel tank and engine. After half an hour of rescue by all officers and men, the fire was completely extinguished.

The specific cause of the accident is currently under investigation.
